Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Our encouragement to you ladies out there, do your self breast  exam.  Here is a good site to help you know how to do it properly-click here----> How To do self breast exam.

This week, Friday, October 5th is our first Women's Cancer Support group meeting.  We sure hope you are able to join us.  We encourage you all to wear pink, as our focus this month will be Breast Cancer awareness.

Meet us, Wednesday, LIVE, on TSPN, our local cable station.  We are scheduled to go on at 7:45am.  They invited us to be part of their focus this month on Breast Cancer awareness.

JUST BEGIN...AGAIN - Women sharing the bond of Cancer - Amador County, Calif.

Come be a part of the event hosted by AMADOR STARS, September 22nd and 23rd, 2007 Camp Out For Cancer.  It will be located at Argonaut High School in Jackson. Check out the website to see the past years events.  Look at the slide shows and feel the emotion of this special time.

JUST BEGIN...AGAIN

At the event look for our banner.  We will  have an information table about our new women's cancer support group.  Our first meeting will be held in Jackson, October 5th at 1:30pm.  Come with your suggestions for future meetings and hear of the ones in the works.  We are thinking of craft times, lunch potlucks, occasional speakers, A Christmas Tea and more.

We will meet on the first Friday of every month.  Our first meeting will be a "get to know each other" time.  Munchies and refreshments will be served.

We are four women with a heart for other women who have experienced cancer, just like us.  Rita, Sheri and Joanna are recent Breast Cancer Survivors.  Joyce is a twenty year Breast Cancer Survivor.  We welcome all women with any type of cancer, post or present. 

We give a big HUGE thank you to STARS for welcoming us under their wings to help get us started.
